Description	:	At the age of 47 years 2 months and 26 days Albert Herrell died last Saturday May 12 at his home north of town. Mr. Herrell had been confined to his bed but 17 days but had been in poor health for the past four years. The funeral was held Monday and interment at Pennington cemetery. Mr. Herrell had been confined to his bed but 17 days but had been in poor health for the past four years. The funeral was held Monday and interment at Pennington cemetery. Albert Herrell was born in this county February 16, 1859 and was a son of Jas. B. Herrell, a member of Co. B. 33rd Iowa who lost his life in the cause of his country. He is a son of Mrs. Hubbird of this place and a brother of Mrs. S. A. Gilliland of Lancaster, a half brother of Mrs. C. A. Schreiner of Ollie and W. H. Hubbird of this place. It was in this county Albert Herrell grew to manhood and those with whom he was best acquainted were his warmest friends. He was a man of strict integrity and high moral principal. He leaves besides those above named a wife and little four year old daughter to mourn their great loss of husband and father. The gravestone shows the birth year as 1868 but the obituary shows 1859.
