Friday, May 21, 1926, aged 64 years, 11 months and 21 days. Mr. Murphy came to Nebraska and settle near Shickley about forty-five years ago. He was united in marriage to Tacy Lamb on June 8, 1884. Read More	MURPHY, ALBERT JAMES—Albert James Murphy was born in Illinois, June 6, 1861. He departed this life at his home in Geneva at 7:20 p. m. Friday, May 21, 1926, aged 64 years, 11 months and 21 days. Mr. Murphy came to Nebraska and settle near Shickley about forty-five years ago. He was united in marriage to Tacy Lamb on June 8, 1884. To this union four children were born, three sons and one daughter: Frank of Geneva, Leslie of Aurora, Neb., Leonard of Vera Cruz, Old Mexico, and Mrs. Johnnie Miller of Geneva. Besides his wife and four children he leaves to mourn his death, two brothers: Will of Idaho, Ira of Effingham, Kas.; one sister, Mrs. Mike Fitzpatrick of Hebron; also seven grandchildren, and a large number of other relatives and friends. Mr. Murphy has been a contractor and carpenter, and has followed this line of work in Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma, and Missouri. He came back to Nebraska about twenty years ago and settled with his family in Geneva, where they still reside. Mr. Murphy has been in very poor health for over a year, and was confined to his bed for the five weeks preceding his death. He united with the Methodist Episcopal church in 1915 and was an active member of the gospel team, which was so widely known in Fillmore county for its evangelistic work, always ready to witness for Jesus. In recent years he had not been active in the church but during his illness gave assurance to his family that he was prepared to go if called away. Besides his loving relatives he leaves many friends who will sincerely mourn his going away. The funeral was conducted at the home in Geneva at 2:30 p.m. Monday, May 24. The service was in the charge of Rev. H.G. Langley and the sermon was delivered by Rev. W. L. Austin of Lexington, a former pastor. Interment was in the Geneva cemetery.
