Description	:	MURPHY, TACY –Tacy Lamb Murphy, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sylvanus Lamb, pioneer settlers in Nebraska, was born in Harrison county, Ohio, July 27, 1864. She departed this life at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Johnnie Miller, February 25, 1950, at the age of 85 years, 6 months and 28 days. As a young woman she came with her parents to Nebraska, where the family established a home in Fillmore county, south of Shickley. June 4, 1884, she was united in marriage to Albert J. Murphy. To this union were born three sons and one daughter. To this union were born three sons and one daughter. Her husband departed this life in 1926, a son Frank, in 1943 and a son, Leonard, in 1949. She was also preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and one sister. She was a member of the Methodist church of Geneva. Mrs. Murphy has been a resident of Geneva continuously since 1905. Following the death of her husband, in 1926, she had made her home with her children. She was very active for one of her age, until the past few months, having been bedfast only about six weeks. She was lovingly cared for by her daughter and son-in-law during her last illness. Surviving children are one son, L. W. Murphy of Lincoln, the daughter, Mrs. Johnnie Miller of Geneva, a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Emma Murphy of Crete, one brother, Lindley Lamb of Denver, seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren, also many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held at the Kritner funeral home in Geneva at 2 p. m. Monday, February 27, with Rev. Ben F. Wallace officiating. Mrs. Oscar Nelson sang, with John Nelson as accompanist.
