Description	:	MILLER, EVA LEOLA—Eva Leola Miller, the only daughter of Albert and Tacy Murphy, was born at Shickley, Neb., March 15, 1892. She spent most of her girlhood in Kansas and Nebraska and attended school in Geneva, graduating with the class of 1910. September 3, 1914, she was united in marriage to Johnnie Miller of Geneva. As a young woman she was active in the youth work and... Read More	MILLER, EVA LEOLA—Eva Leola Miller, the only daughter of Albert and Tacy Murphy, was born at Shickley, Neb., March 15, 1892. She spent most of her girlhood in Kansas and Nebraska and attended school in Geneva, graduating with the class of 1910. September 3, 1914, she was united in marriage to Johnnie Miller of Geneva. To this union three children, Kathleen, Mrs. Alfred Reynolds; Margaret, Mrs. William Cottrell; and Kenneth, were born. She united with the Methodist church of Geneva, April 14, 1907. As a young woman she was active in the youth work and especially in the work of the Queen Esther group. Later she took her place in the women’s work of the church and the community. She was a charter member of the Chelsea Woman’s club, and also instrumental in organizing the South Madison Township Women’s club, of which she was a member until her death. She understood how to take care of those who were ill and gave herself unreservedly to her relatives and friends in times of sickness. She passed on to the “House not made with hands” at her home in Geneva, Neb., March 5, 1956, after a lingering illness at the age of 63 years, 11 months and 20 days. Services were held at the Methodist church in Geneva Thursday, March 8, at 2:30 p. m. Dr. F. E. Pfoutz gave the memorial tribute. Mrs. Oscar nelson accompanied by Miss Gayle Walton at the organ sang “Rock of Ages” and “Rose of Sharon.” The pallbearers were brothers-in-law, Harold Heath, Alva Miller, Roy Miller, Wilson Miller, Fred Fox, and a nephew, Barthold Hofferber.
