Description	:	Albert J. Diederich passed away at the Fillmore County Hospital in Geneva, Neb., December 14, 1963, aged 81 years, 7 months and 1 day. Albert, son of Joseph and Ann Diederich was born near Geneva May 12, 1882. He was baptized at St. Mary's Church, Turkey Creek, and grew up in that vicinity. Mrs. Diederich passed away January 9,... Read More	Albert J. Diederich passed away at the Fillmore County Hospital in Geneva, Neb., December 14, 1963, aged 81 years, 7 months and 1 day. Albert, son of Joseph and Ann Diederich was born near Geneva May 12, 1882. He was baptized at St. Mary's Church, Turkey Creek, and grew up in that vicinity. August 26, 1908, he was married to Theresa Uerling of Indianola, Neb. They spent most of their married life on a farm near Geneva. In 1944 they retired from the farm and moved to Geneva. Mrs. Diederich passed away January 9, 1960, and since that time, Albert made his home with his daughter, Mrs. Leonard Kreachbaum, in Geneva until his health failed. He entered the hospital in July, but could not regain his strength. Mr. and Mrs. Diederich were the parents of five children, all of whom survive. They are two sons, Leroy of McMinnville, Ore., and Jams of Geneva; three daughters, Anna Marie Strothkamp and Eleanor Kreachbaum of Geneva and Isabel Hurless of Lakeport, Cal.; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two sisters and a host of relatives and friends. For a number of years, Albert had served as caretaker for the golf course at the County Club during the summer months, a job he dearly loved. Funeral services were held at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Geneva at 10 a.m. Tuesday, December 17, Rev. Paul Ulenberg officiating. Interment was in St. Joseph Cemetery. Those attending the funeral from a distance were Leroy Diederich and son, Albert of McMinnville, Ore., Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Colling and Mr. and Mrs. Merle Colling of McCook.
