He was born May 11, 1934, in Selfridge, N.D., and moved to Kelso in 1937 with his parents. He attended Kelso schools. Albert joined the Air Force at age 17 and served 12 years, becoming a pilot. He was a Korean War veteran. In 1951 he made his home in Texas, staying there until he went home to be with the Lord. Albert co-owned Flying M Aviation, a small aircraft... He was born May 11, 1934, in Selfridge, N.D., and moved to Kelso in 1937 with his parents. He attended Kelso schools. Albert joined the Air Force at age 17 and served 12 years, becoming a pilot. He was a Korean War veteran. In 1951 he made his home in Texas, staying there until he went home to be with the Lord. Albert co-owned Flying M Aviation, a small aircraft business in Grandview, Okla. He loved to fly his planes and enjoyed traveling, sight-seeing whenever he had time, helping people and being with his family. He collected fire trucks and trains and was active in his church. Albert is survived by two daughters...two sisters...six grandchildren...22 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Albert was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Ruby L. (Mitchell) Martin; and a brother, Frank W. Martin. His brother George N. Martin followed him in passing July 17. A joint celebration of Albert's and George's lives is planned for 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Faith Temple Church, at the corner of 38th Avenue and Ocean Beach in Longview. Donations may be made to Hospice of Wichita Falls, 4909 Johnson Road, Wichita Falls, TX 76310. Arrangements are by Columbia Funeral Service."
