Albert Sidney Johnston Tucker was the son of Henry St. George Tucker (former president of the American Bar Association) and Henrietta Preston Johnston. His grandfather was Gen. At the time, he resided on Tuckaway Route 2 in Lexington, VA. The causes of death were bronchopneumonia, confluent, bronchial carcinoma, primary of the right lung, with metastases, emphysema and arteriosclerotic heart disease. Albert Sidney Johnston Tucker, 76, retired United States Army officer, died Tuesday in San Antonio. He was the son of the late Harry St. George Tucker, congressman from Virginia's Tenth District for 18 years. Colonel and Mrs. Tucker moved to Lexington after his retirement in 1939 and made their home at Tuckaway at Rt. 2. He was a member of the board of directors of the Tuberclosis Association here and served as TB bond chairman for two years. Colonel Tucker's father was a congressman from 1889-1897 and from 1922 until his death in 1932. His father also served as acting president of Washington and Lee for a year and was president of the American Bar Association. Colonel Tucker's great-great-grandfather, St. George Tucker, came to Virginia in 1771 from Bermuda and became a jurist, succeeding George Wythe as law reaher at the College of William and Mary. His grandfather, John Randolph Tucker, was a congressman and dean of the Washington and Lee law school. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Mary S. Tucker; a son, Lt. Col. Albert Sidney Johnston Tucker, Jr., of La Canea, Calif.; a brother, Harry St. George Tucker of Lexington, Ky.; two sisters, Mrs. Forest Fletcher of Lexington, and Mrs. Preston White of Charlotte, and eight grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at the Robert E. Lee Memorial Episcopal Church at 3 p.m. Saturday, with burial in the Stonewall Jackson Memorial Cemetery. the family requested that flowers be omitted.
