Read More	Kleinhans, a life long resident of Union county, passed away at the home of his brother, Ben Kleinhans near Alcester, last Thursday afternoon following a long illness. Albert was taken ill about seven years ago and his case proved to be a baffling one to medical men. He was taken to Rochester, Minn., where he was a patient for a long time and physicians there failed to diagnose his case satisfactorily. However, it was believed that he suffered from some form of sleeping sickness. When he was taken, ill the family resided on a farm about six miles southwest of Hawarden but later, when the home was broken up, he and his mother lived in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ben Kleinhans. During his long illness his mother was with him constantly, doing all in her power to help her son, who was practically helpless during all these years. A post mortem, was performed and a bilateral abcess was discovered, in his brain. Physicians, however, were unable to determine how long this condition had existed. Funeral services, were held at 2:30 Sunday afternoon in the Lutheran church in Hawarden with Rev. C.A. Burkhart in charge. Pall bearers were Arthur Ludwig, Dickie Green, James Skogman, Ernest Hendricks, Paul Nielsen and Lawrence Jurgensen, schoolmates of the deceased. Burial was in Grace Hill cemetery. Albert Victor Kleinhans was born on a farm in Union County August 17, 1916, and passed away April 17, 1941, at the age of 24 years and 8 months. He received his education in the Petry school, southwest of Hawarden. He was stricken with a strange malady when but 17 years of age and so had barely passed his childhood days. During his illness he was a patient sufferer. At times he showed signs of improvement and then again relapses and reverses. He was preceded in death by his father, who was accidentally shot and fatally wounded a number of years ago, and one brother. He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Bertha Kleinhans; four brothers, George of Miles City Mont., Fred of Hawarden; John of Cedar Falls, lows; Ben of Alcester and two sisters, Mrs. Ben Frerichs of Akron, and Miss Dorothy Kleinhans of Waterloo. Mr. and Mrs. John Kleinhans of Cedar Falls and Miss Dorothy Kleinhans of Waterloo came to attend the funeral but George of Miles City Mont., found it impossible to attend.
