Description	:	Ben Kleinhans, 33 of Alcester, a life long resident of Union County, passed away in St. Joseph's hospital in Sioux City early last Friday morning. His death was due to blood clots which formed in his lungs. Last January he suffered a broken leg when a trip rope on which he was bulling broke. The blood clots are believed to have resulted from this injury. Several weeks ago, when his condition became serious he was removed to the Sioux City hospital. Read More	Ben Kleinhans, 33 of Alcester, a life long resident of Union County, passed away in St. Joseph's hospital in Sioux City early last Friday morning. His death was due to blood clots which formed in his lungs. Last January he suffered a broken leg when a trip rope on which he was bulling broke. The blood clots are believed to have resulted from this injury. Several weeks ago, when his condition became serious he was removed to the Sioux City hospital. His wife, who is a registered nurse, accompanied him and was with him at the hospital. Funeral services were held at Trinity Lutheran church in Hawarden at 2:30 Tuesday afternoon with Rev. C.A. Burkhart in charge. Interment was in Grace Hill cemetery. Pall bearers were Robert Miller and David Blomberg of Alcester, Vernon Wakeman of Akron, Harold Hass and Walter Wilken of Hawarden and Marion Riet of Beresford. Benjamin Thomas Klienhans, son of George J. and Bertha Kleinhns, was born on a farm southwest of Hawarden on August 29, 1912. Here he grew to manhood and received his education in the rural schools. He was united in marriage with Marian Feiner of St. Helene, Neb., on March 29, 1937. He lived in the Hawarden vicinity until 1936, when he moved onto a farm, northwest of Akron. In 1940, he moved onto a farm, west of Alcester, which was his home at the time of his death. Survivors are his wife, his mother, Mrs. Bertha Kleinhans of Alcester; three brothers, Fred of Hawarden, George of Memphis, Tenn., and John of Hudson Iowa, near Waterloo, and two sisters, Mr. Edna Frerichs of Hawaden and Mrs. Dorothy Banzhel of Cedar Falls, Iowa.
