She attended grade schools in Doyle, California and Bird Flat, California, and attended Lassen High School, graduating in 1945. She was employed by various businesses in Susanville and met her husband Lester in 1946 when he returned from the military. They married Lester in 1947 and celebrated 57 years together. She was born in Milford, California March 26, 1928, one of eight children born to Maude A. and Elvy A. Banister. She attended grade schools in Doyle, California and Bird Flat, California, and attended Lassen High School, graduating in 1945. She was employed by various businesses in Susanville and met her husband Lester in 1946 when he returned from the military. They married Lester in 1947 and celebrated 57 years together. They were blessed with three sons. Jean, as she was known, was preceded in death by her husband, Lester; her parents; one son, Gary; and all of her brothers and sisters. Surviving her are her sons; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren; also, numerous nieces and nephews. No services will be held at this time. A private inurnment will be held at the Veteran’s Cemetery in Johnstonville, California, where she will be laid to rest next to her husband Lester
