Description	:	Lester D. (Tom) Robison was born Aug. 8, 1925 in Cairo, Ill. to Jesse and Bessie Robison. Lester passed away on April 13, 2005 at Banner Lassen Medical Center at the age of 79. He had been a Lassen County resident for the past 63 years. Their family moved to California in 1942 and lived and worked in Herlong, for Stolte Construction, in the constructing of the Army Depot. (Tom) Robison was born Aug. 8, 1925 in Cairo, Ill. to Jesse and Bessie Robison. Lester passed away on April 13, 2005 at Banner Lassen Medical Center at the age of 79. He had been a Lassen County resident for the past 63 years. Their family moved to California in 1942 and lived and worked in Herlong, for Stolte Construction, in the constructing of the Army Depot. Les was inducted into the U.S. Army from Susanville in 1943 and served in both European and Pacific Theaters of WWII as a construction engineer and had attained the rank of Tech Sgt. 4th class. He was discharged in April 1946, returning to his home in the Susanville area, where he was employed in the local lumber mills. In May, 1947, he married his wife Jean Banister in Reno, Nev. Together they raised three sons, Larry, Gary and Terry. In January 1968 the family moved to Truckee, where they lived until returning to Susanville in 1982. Les retired from Louisiana Pacific in 1987 in Truckee. He loved hunting, fishing, dancing, snowmobiling and gambling. He is survived by his wife Jean, of 57 years, at the home in Susanville, brother Ivan Robison, of Las Vegas, sister Jenny Alexander (deceased), of Susanville. Also his two sons, Terry and Patty, of Roseville, and Larry and Linda, of Vancouver, Wash. Also three granddaughters and four grandsons and four great-grandsons and one great-granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, three sisters and a son, Gary, in 1991. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers and sisters-in-law. Private inurnment will be at a later date. At his request no services will be held. Lassen County Times
