She was born on October 16, 1925 in Defiance Ohio to the late Albert and Clara (Stork) Memmer. On September 20, 1945 she married William "Bill" Bremer at St. John's Lutheran Church in Defiance. having shared 71 Years of marriage together. Bert was a homemaker and in earlier years was employed by Defiance Machine Works for a few years, then Manufacturing Supply Company in Defiance for 12 years. Read More	Alberta "Bert" Bremer, 91, of Defiance, Ohio passed away peacefully on Friday, May 12, 2017 at Brookview Healthcare Center in Defiance, Ohio. She was born on October 16, 1925 in Defiance Ohio to the late Albert and Clara (Stork) Memmer. On September 20, 1945 she married William "Bill" Bremer at St. John's Lutheran Church in Defiance. having shared 71 Years of marriage together. Bert was a homemaker and in earlier years was employed by Defiance Machine Works for a few years, then Manufacturing Supply Company in Defiance for 12 years. She also did mending for several years for the Filling Home of Mercy in Napoleon. She was a devoted member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Okolona, a member of the Filling Home Guild, former member of the Lydia Circle, church choir member, summer school and Sunday school teacher. She also began the Junior Lutherans at the church. She is lovingly survived by her husband, Bill, and children, Beth (Bob) Anderson of Albuquerque, N.M. and Jim (Lorraine) Bremer of Englewood, Fl., grandchildren, Jenny (Todd) Kellett, Krista (Joe) McKinley, Nicole (Greg) Eidell, Jamie Bremer, Heather (Jason) Roehrig, Shawn (Carrie) Bremer, 10 great grandchildren, and a sister, Mary A. Moats of Defiance, Ohio. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 17th at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Okolona, Ohio. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday at Rodenberger Funeral Home, Napoleon and 1 hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday. The family suggests memorials be given to Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Alzheimer's Association, or a charity of the donor's choice. Bert's family would like to especially thank the nurses and staff at CHP Hospice and Brookview Memory Care for their excellent care of their wife and mother.
