He was born on September 8, 1925 in Defiance to William and Clara (Bachaus) Bremer. Bill was a carpenter and farmer. He was very involved in the area agricultural community, having served on the Defiance County Farm Bureau, Jewell Grain Board of Directors, and a Clerk for Adams Township for 20 years. Read More	William Bremer, 93, of Defiance, Ohio passed away on November 3, 2018 at St. Luke's Hospital in Maumee, Ohio. He was born on September 8, 1925 in Defiance to William and Clara (Bachaus) Bremer. Bill was a carpenter and farmer. He was very involved in the area agricultural community, having served on the Defiance County Farm Bureau, Jewell Grain Board of Directors, and a Clerk for Adams Township for 20 years. Bill proudly served in the US Army during WWII and was stationed in Italy. He was a charter member of the Jewell American Legion and was also a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Okolona; where he served on the church council and as a Sunday school teacher for over 20 years. Bill is survived by his daughter, Beth (Bob) Anderson; son, Jim (Lorraine) Bremer; grandchildren, Jenny (Todd) Kellett; Krista (Joe) McKinley; Nicole (Greg) Eidell; Jamie (John) McClelland; Heather (Jason) Roehrig and Shawn (Carrie) Bremer; and 12 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Alberta and siblings, Lucille Shumaker; Hilda Mix; Pauline Sutter; Irma Overhulse; Edgar Bremer and Donald Bremer. Friends and family will be received at Rodenberger Funeral Home, Napoleon on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 from 3PM until 8PM. Visitation will continue on Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Okolona from 10AM until the time of services at 11AM. Interment with military honors will follow at the church cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
