Description	:	North Loup Loyalist, North Loup, NE, April 18, 1913: Alvira E. (Young) Colby Mrs. H. N. Colby. Alvira E. Young was born near Elmira, N. Y., November 21, 1843, and died at her home in this village, Thursday night, April 10, 1913. While living in Wisconsin she was married to Hamilton N. Colby, July 24, 1851. To this union were born four children, three of whom survive her, all being present at the funeral services held from the M. E. church Saturday morning, April 12. Before her marriage she united with the M. E. church of which she was a faithful member for many years. When removing to this place she identified herself with the Presbyterian church. Her husband died December 8, 1908, and since that time she has turned longing eyes toward the home not made with hands. Although in poor health for some time she was patient, unselfish, giving her first thought and care to others. And so another good woman has gone to the home prepared for her. Interment in the Scotia cemetery beside the body of her husband.
