It is presumed, since the livestock had not been fed, that the death may have occurred Sunday morning. Mr. Brislen lived for several years on Eleventh and Chestnut in Emporia, before moving to Reading eight years ago. **************************************************** The Emporia Gazette, 31 January 1945, Wednesday BRISLEN SERVICES THURSDAY Special to the Gazette: Reading, Jan. 31--Funeral services for Alec Brislen, who was found dead in his farm home near Reading, Monday morning, will be held Thursday morning at 11 o'clock at the Reading Methodist church. Rev. A. R. Williams, pastor of the church, will conduct the services. Burial will be in Maplewood cemetery in Emporia.
