Description	:	The KANSAN, Concordia, Cloud Co., Kansas Sept. 20, 1945 Alfred B. Revell, resident of this community for the past 41 years died at St. Joseph hospital at 11 am on Wednesday, following a long illness. Mr. Revell was born November 11, 1864, in Newburg, Iowa. He made his home there until he was sixteen years old, when went to Aurora in Hamilton County, Nebraska, to live. Here he met Mary E. Williams, and they were married March 4, 1886. Revell, resident of this community for the past 41 years died at St. Joseph hospital at 11 am on Wednesday, following a long illness. Mr. Revell was born November 11, 1864, in Newburg, Iowa. He made his home there until he was sixteen years old, when went to Aurora in Hamilton County, Nebraska, to live. Here he met Mary E. Williams, and they were married March 4, 1886. Following their marriage the happy couple went to Stratton, Neb., where they took up homestead. They made the trip in a covered wagon. They endured all the hardships of the early pioneers and in 1896, they left the homestead and returned to Hamilton County, near Giltner, Nebraska, where they resided until 1906, when they came to Kansas and lived on a farm, 12 miles southeast of Concordia. In 1921 Mr. Revell retired from the farm, and he and Mrs. Revell moved to Concordia, where they since made their home. Mr. Revell was a member of the Christian Church, and had been a Elder and member of the Church Board for many years. He was of a kindly disposition and made many friends wherever he lived. During his past illness, he was very patient and uncomplaining. Surviving are these children: Mrs. Della Kivett, of Craig, Colo.; Roy Revell, of Altamont, Kansas; Guy Revell, Aurora, Kansas; Mrs. Myrtle Shaffer, Republic City, and Mrs. Taylor Jewett, of Concordia. Also surviving are 23 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Mrs Revell proceeded in death December 18, 1943, and one daughter died in infancy. Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock, at the Christian Church, in charge of, Rev. Kent Bates, and burial will be made in the Pleasant Hill cemetery.
