Description	:	Alfred Wilson Reams was born in Clearfield, Pennsylvania, on June 13, 1854, and died at the home of his son, Fred, at Madrid, Nebraska, November 23, 1931; aged seventy-seven years, five months and ten days. Read More	Alfred Wilson Reams was born in Clearfield, Pennsylvania, on June 13, 1854, and died at the home of his son, Fred, at Madrid, Nebraska, November 23, 1931; aged seventy-seven years, five months and ten days. When quite a small boy, Mr. Reams came to Brooklyn, Iowa, with his parents, and in the year of 1873, he settled in Nebraska and made his home at Fairmont, which latter place has been his home ever since, with the exception of such time as he spent each year with his daughter, Grace of Sterling, Colorado, and son Fred of Madrid , Nebraska. On the first of January, 1880, he was united in marriage with Miss Kitty Rachel Donaldson, and four sons and two daughters were born to this union: John of Fairmont, Fred of Madrid, Ernest of Fairmont, Blanche of Boulder, Colorado, Mrs. Grace Slama of Sterling, Colorado, and Charley of North Platte, Nebraska. His wife preceded him in death on May 5, 1917. Besides the children, Mr. Reams is survived by two brothers, P.A. Reams and A.C. Reams, both of Brooklyn, Iowa; and one sister, Mrs. Ida E. Ashton of Boulder, Colorado. Also surviving him are seven grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends. Mr. and Mrs. Reams united with the Methodist Episcopal church at Summit, Nebraska, forty years ago, and alter transferred their membership to the Fairmont Methodist church. For nearly thirty years, Mr. Reams has been a member of the Hesperian Lodge, No. 42, I.O.O.F. Funeral services were held at Madrid, Nebraska, on Tuesday morning, and at Fairmont Methodist church on Wednesday afternoon. All of Mr. Reams children and many old friends and neighbors attended the latter service which was conducted by the pastor, Rev. J. Henry Stitt, and a guard of honor and pallbearers from the I.O.O.F. assisted. Interment was made in Fairmont cemetery.
