Read More	Kate Rachael Donaldson was born in Scott county, Iowa, March first, 1861, and died at her home in Fairmont, May fifth, 1917. She had been in failing health for several years and had been confined to her bed for the past three months. In 1876 she came with her family to Nebraska. She was married to A.W. Reams of Fillmore county, January first, 1880. To this union were born three sons and two daughters, namely John of Flat Willow, Montana; Fred of Madrid, Nebraska, Ernest, who lives at home; Blanche and Mrs. Grace Cooper of Boulder, Colorado. Besides her husband and children, Mrs. Reams is survived by her aged father, A.C. Donaldson of Sedwick, Colorado; four brothers and one sister; Bert, Edd and Pearl Donaldson of Sedgwick, Colorado, Fred Donaldson of North Platte, Nebraska, and Mrs. M.K. Graham of Wellfleet, Nebraska; and a foster son, Charles Reams of Calloway, Nebraska. She was a cousin of Frank Martin of north Fairmont. Mrs. Reams lived in this country since 1876, and with her husband and other pioneers helped to build Nebraska. She loved her family and the foster, son, Charles, received the same loving care that her own children enjoyed. Mr. and Mrs. Reams united with the Methodist church at Summit near Shickley about twenty years ago, and later transferred their membership to the Fairmont Methodist church, where they have remained faithful members and have attended its services whenever her health permitted. She was a member of the Rebekah and Degree of Honor lodges. Mrs. Reams' father has been ill and confined to his bed for the past two years. Funeral services were held from Grace Methodist church Monday at two p.m., conducted by the pastor, Rev. J.P. Yost. Interment was in the Fairmont cemetery. Out of town relatives and friends who attended the funeral were her brothers, Bert, Edd, Fred and Pearl Donaldson, also L.M. McDonald of North Platte; P.A. Reams of Brooklyn, Iowa; Mrs. Sophia Reams and daughter, May, of Beaver Crossing; Mrs. Herman Heisenbottel of Beaver Crossing. All of her children were present except John. He and Mrs. Ida Ashton of Boulder, Colorado, a sister of Mrs. Reams, had been here for several weeks and left recently for their homes. John had not yet reached his home in Flatt Willow, Montana, when he received the message that his mother had passed away.
