ALLIE PARKER Mrs. Allie Parker succumbed suddenly to a heart attack at her home in this city Saturday afternoon. She had spent the afternoon at home and had not complained of any indisposition. Late in the afternoon her body was found on the steps at the rear of her home. Allie McClaughrey, daughter of Samuel and Sarah McClaughrey, was born in Cass county, Iowa, May 24, 1867. She lived in Iowa with her parents until grown, when she moved to Pawnee county, Nebraska, where she has lived since. In 1889 she was united in marriage with George Parker, and to this union one boy, Ray, was born. She passed away at her home in Pawnee City on Saturday, October 28, 1933, aged 66 years, 5 months and 4 days. She is survived by her son, Ray, nine grandchildren, two brothers and four sisters, Wilbur McClaughrey, Washington, Kas., E. L. McClaughrey, Pawnee City; Mrs. Belle Tubbs, Long Island, Kas.; Mrs. Augusta Wolfe, Caldwell, Idaho; Mrs. Jennie Bell, Colorado Springs, Colo., and Mrs. Rebecca Haworth, Oldham, S. D., and by a number of nieces and nephews and a host of friends. The funeral services were held from the Wherry funeral parlors on Monday afternoon, Rev. W. N. Wallis officiating. A male quartet composed of Dr. F. H. Burton, Ben Henry, F. W. Parker and Chester Holland sang. The body was laid to rest in the Pawnee City cemetery. (THE PAWNEE REPUBLICAN, Nov. 2, 1933.)
