The Rev. R. A. Unkenholz officiated. Mrs. Farnsworth died Thursday, July 12, at the Memorial hospital in Ellendale where she had been a patient since July 3. Mrs. Colonel Farnsworth was born Alice Amelia (Meda) Hostelter [sic - Hostetter] April 15, 1882, in Wykoff, Minn., to Frank and Jane Hostelter [sic - Hostetter]. While still small, she moved with her parents to the vicinity north of Spring Valley, Minn. She attended school and grew up in that locality. In 1904 she was united in marriage with Colonel Farnsworth at Edgeley. To this union two sons, Roland and Marshall, were born. In 1917 the family joined the First Methodist Church of Edgeley. In this church they still maintain their membership. Mrs. Farnsworth was a member of the WSCS and the WCTU. They lived on a farm south of Edgeley until 1937, when they moved to Nampa, Idaho. In 1942 they returned to Edgeley and have since lived in town here. Surviving Mrs. Farnsworth are her husband; two sons, Roland and Marshall, of Edgeley; three grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Her parents, a sister and a brother preceded her in death.
