Description	:	Marshall L. Farnsworth was the second of two sons born to Colonel and Alice "Meda" Farnsworth. He was named after his grandfather Marshall L. Farnsworth. He was born in Edgeley, LaMoure County, North Dakota and lived and worked his entire life in the Edgeley area. He married Cora Belle Gleason in Edgeley on Nov. 25, 1933. Together they had three children --- Inez Lorraine, Clifford Loren, and Vernard Roland Farnsworth, before divorcing about 1949. The following comes from a writeup in the Edgeley (ND) Centennial History Book, published in 1986, Page 233: "Marshall was employed as a mechanic... Read More	Marshall L. He operated the cement plant for its various owners over the years and was also self-employed repairing laundry equipment. Marshall and Cora were the parents of three children, Lorraine, Clifford and Vernard." The obituary of Marshall Farnsworth appeared in the August 10, 1988 edition of The Edgeley Mail and stated the following: "MARSH (sic) FARNSWORTH "Funeral services for Marshall L. Farnsworth, 81, Edgeley were held Tuesday, Aug. 9, 1988 at Wesley United Methdist Church in Edgeley with Rev. Glenn Lord officiating. Mr. Farnsworth died Aug. 6 at St. Luke's Hospital in Fargo. "He was born July 1, 1907 at Edgeley, the son of Col. W. and Alice (Hofstetter) (sic) Farnsworth. he lived in Edgeley all his life and was a retired mechanic. He was a member of the Methodist Church and the Maple River Masonic Lodge -- #41. "Survivors include two sons, Clifford, Valley City, N.D. and Vernard, Cheyenne, Wyo.; a daughter, Mrs. William (Lorraine) Kramp, Cody, Wyo., a brother, Roland, Edgeley, seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. "He was preceded in death by his parents."
