Bradley, Akron loses one of its noblest and best women. Always quick to respond to a call when relative or friend was ill or in distress, she went last Thursday to the home of her son , H. E. Bradley, seven miles northwest of town, when advised that he was sick in bed with an attack of heart and stomach trouble. While assisting in his care she became slightly indisposed. Failing to respond to home treatment, a doctor wan called Saturday, who found her to be ill of pneumonia, and in spite of all that could be done she continued to fall until the end came Sunday morning, September 10, 1923, at the age of 62 yearn, 8 months and 20 days. Alice Elizabeth Stinton, the youngest child of Robert and Sarah Stinton, was born December 22, 1860, at Sabula, Iowa, where she resided until ten years of age. With her parents she then came to Adaville, Plymouth County, Iowa.; On December 25, 1876, she was united In marriage with E. J. Bradley, of Adaville, which place remained their home until 1887, when they moved to Akron, where she has since resided. To this union four children were born, three of whom, with her husband, are left to mourn her departure—Mrs. C. W. Ruble, of Ravinia, S. D.; H. E. Bradley, of Akron, Iowa, and Mrs. C. C. Coles, of Canby, Minn. One son, Clyde, died just as he had reached man's estate, August 9, 1907. Mrs. Bradley was a loving and dutiful wife and mother, and a kind and thoughtful neighbor, who always placed the welfare of others before her own. She was familiarly known as "aunt Alice" and many are the homes that can testify to her loving kindness and help in times of sickness and distress. She will be greatly missed by entire community, as well as her immediate family, who have widespread sympathy in their sudden bereavement. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. G. J. Poppenhelmer in the Akron M. E. Church Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. In spite of the hard rain, a large concourse of friends assembled as a last tribute of respect to this esteemed friend. Interment was in Riverside Cemetery. Relatives who came from a distance were Mr. and Mrs. Chas. W. Ruble, of Ravinia, S.D.; Mr. and Mrs. Clarence C. Coles, of Canby, Minn.; Misses Muriel Bradley and Gwendolyn Ruble, who are attending State Teachers college at Madison, S. D.
