Description	:	Glenwood, Minnesota--Alice I. Pearson, 67, of Glenwood, Minnesota died Friday afternoon at the Douglas County Hospital in Glenwood. Mrs. Pearson, daughter of Edward LeRoy and Sarah Wing Bennett, was born near Arcadia in Valley County, Nebraska. Her siblings were Walter, Richard, Lois, Gertrude, Lucille and Arthur. Her father was a carpenter in various places in Nebraska and they were living in Kearney when their mother died in 1931. Pearson, 67, of Glenwood, Minnesota died Friday afternoon at the Douglas County Hospital in Glenwood. Mrs. Pearson, daughter of Edward LeRoy and Sarah Wing Bennett, was born near Arcadia in Valley County, Nebraska. Her siblings were Walter, Richard, Lois, Gertrude, Lucille and Arthur. Her father was a carpenter in various places in Nebraska and they were living in Kearney when their mother died in 1931. Alice was graduated from Kearney High School and was part of the Normal Training program. She was teaching at Sunflower #23 southeast of Pleasanton when she met her husband Randall Pearson. Randall and Alice were married September 5, 1938 and reared their family on a farm near Pleasanton where their children Rob, Pat, Jeanne, and Ted were graduated from Pleasanton High School. The Pearson family was very active in the Pleasanton Methodist church until 1976 when they moved to Glenwood, Minnesota. There she was a member of Glenwood's First Baptist Church. Surviving relatives include her husband, Randall of Glenwood; two daughters, Pat (Lester) Shafto of Glenwood and Jeanne (Jim) Keller of Glen Uilin, North Dakota; two sons, the Rev. Rob (Wandie) Pearson of Herington, Kansas, and Ted (Pam) Pearson of Glenwood; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three sisters, Lois Carle of Auburn, Washington, Gertrude Burgett of Mountain Home, Idaho, and Lucille Hobbs of Nampa, Idaho; and a brother, A. W. Bennett of Nampa, Idaho. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at Pleasanton United Methodist Church. The Revs. Jim Ferguson and Thomas Yackley will officiate and burial will be in Pleasanton Cemetery. Memorials are planned to Pleasanton United Methodist Church.
