Born Sept. 30, 1925, in Fort Wayne, she was the daughter of Walter and Alma (Meyer) Werling. She graduated from Ossian High School, Ossian, in 1943 and married Bobby L. Read More	ALICE (WERLING) LUDWIG Alice (Werling) Ludwig, 79, of Ann Arbor, Mich., died peacefully Thursday evening, Sept. 8, 2005, of congestive heart failure at The Residence of Arbor Hospice, Ann Arbor, Mich. Born Sept. 30, 1925, in Fort Wayne, she was the daughter of Walter and Alma (Meyer) Werling. She graduated from Ossian High School, Ossian, in 1943 and married Bobby L. Ludwig in July of 1945: he survives. She became a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church when she moved to Ann Arbor, in 1951, and remained a member throughout her life. A breast cancer survivor herself, Alice touched many lives during the course of her volunteer work with breast cancer patients. This special gift of touching lives extended through her recent months at The Residence of Arbor Hospice, where she endeared herself to many. Her family will be forever grateful for the care and compassion of the staff and volunteers at the Residence, during Alice's stay. Surviving are her son, Dennis Wayne (wife, Linda) Ludwig of Ann Arbor, and their son, Robert Dennis; daughter, Connie Marie Ludwig of Manchester, Mich.; brother Wayne (wife, Esther) Werling of Ossian, and their son, Erik Werling and family of Ossian, and her cherished companion, aa Golden Labrador retriever, "Miss Bailey". A Celebration of Life is 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 420 West Liberty, Ann Arbor, Mich. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Muehlig Funeral Chapel, 403 S. Fourth Ave., Ann Arbor, Mich.
