Forsythe, their son-in-law at Beaver, informing him of the death of his father, A. M. Forsythe, of 159 West College Street, which occurred during the night at Orlando, Florida. Mr. Forsythe was aged 73 years and in company with his wife had spent the last two months in the south for the benefit of his health. Forsythe, of 159 West College Street, which occurred during the night at Orlando, Florida. Mr. Forsythe was aged 73 years and in company with his wife had spent the last two months in the south for the benefit of his health. Pneumonia which developed from complications was the cause of death. A. M. Forsythe had been in business in Canonsburg about one-half a century. The first business in which he was connected was the Eagle Clothing House, which was operated by his father, Thomas Forsythe in a building where the First National Bank is located and later in the building now occupied by the Star Theatre in East Pike Street. Later he was engaged in the tailoring business for himself at the same address and in 1912 he started a motion picture theatre in East Pike Street from which he retired about two years ago. Mr. Forsythe was a member of the Chartiers United Presbyterian Church and was president of the Friendly Bible Class, which is taught by Rev. Dr. W. P. Aikin. Besides his wife, he leaves two sons, Dr. Samuel T. Forsythe of Cleveland, Ohio and Earle M. Forsythe of Beaver, PA. Two grandchildren, Mary Jane and Jack Forsythe also survives. Funeral arrangements are not complete - Washington Reporter, May 7, 1928. The body of A. M. Forsythe arrived in Pittsburgh this morning and was brought to Canonsburg. Funeral services will be held in the Chartiers U. P. Church Thursday. Rev. J. M. Work, of Oxford, Ohio, a former pastor of Mr. Forsythe, and Dr. W. P. Aikin, the present pastor will be in charge of the services. Interment will be in Oak Spring cemetery. Dr. S. T. Forsythe of Cleveland, Ohio, son of A. M. Forsythe, accompanied his mother and the body of his father from Orlando, Florida to the Forsythe home at 159 West College Street. - The Daily Notes (Canonsburg), Wednesday, May 9, 1928 p. 1.
