He died Saturday at the Deaconess hospital in Spokane at the age of 72. Shuler was born June 2, 1892, in Oklahoma territory. He grew up at Ft. Smith, Ark. Read More	Allen Shuler Funeral Held Here Tuesday Graveside funeral services for Allen A. Shuler were held Tuesday in the Ritzville Memorial cemetery. He died Saturday at the Deaconess hospital in Spokane at the age of 72. Shuler was born June 2, 1892, in Oklahoma territory. He grew up at Ft. Smith, Ark. In the early 1900s he moved west and settled in Washington. In 1928 he became a resident of Ritzville. Until 1944 he was active in many community improvement projects. He was district manager of the Washington Water Power company in the Ritzville area until his retirement in 1945. He is survived by his wife, Beulah Shuler and six sons and daughters. They are Helene Silvey, Saratoga, Calif.; Howard Shuler, Almira; Harold Shuler, Los Gatos, Calif.; Hazel Gannon, Mabton; Lauretta Henry, San Jose, Calif.; and Royce Shuler, Warden. He was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma May Shuler, in August of 1962; and his wife Pearl Sherwood Shuler in 1926. Royce Shuler, a son, also preceded him in death. There are 17 grandchildren, six stepchildren and 17 step great-grandchildren surviving. The Rev. James Updike conducted the service in the cemetery at 11 a.m. Danekas Funeral home was in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers were Carl Hoefel, Milton Sackmann, Richard Kembel, Lee Burroughs and E. J. Wachter. Honorary pallbearers were Ira Rowe, Bruce Wilsey, Will Rosenoff, William Kautz, Henry Ahlers, Wilf Moore, Jake Hoefel, Orvis Kutschkau, A.C. Rummer, Emil Schell and James Kadlec.
