McDonald, oldest son of Joseph and Eleanor McDonald, was born October 16, 1893, on the home farm, where he resided until the time of his death, February 28, 1920. He attended the public schools, graduated from the eighth grade, entered the state university agricultural school and graduated in April 1912. He united with the United Brethren church, July 4, 1916. McDonald, oldest son of Joseph and Eleanor McDonald, was born October 16, 1893, on the home farm, where he resided until the time of his death, February 28, 1920. He attended the public schools, graduated from the eighth grade, entered the state university agricultural school and graduated in April 1912. He united with the United Brethren church, July 4, 1916. This union has been blessed with two children, Floyd, born August 1, 1917, and Mildred, born December 4, 1919. Besides his wife and two children, there are left to mourn his death, his mother, Mrs. Eleanor McDonald of Geneva, two sisters and one brother, Mrs. Bertha Fisher of Kingfisher, Okla., and Esther and Harold of Geneva. He was a member of the Geneva I.O.O.F lodge. The Nebraska Signal March 4th, 1920 page 8.
