Read More	The Edgar Sun (Edgar, NE) Fri., Mar 16, 1945 - Page 1 Alletta Blanche Mileger Alletta Blanche Cushing, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. M. E. Cushing, was born on a farm north of Edgar, Nebraska, on May 19, 1897, and grew to womanhood in this community. She was united in marriage to Ray Floyd Mileger January 5, 1920. To them were born three daughters, Mrs. Arnita Peterson of Scottsbluff, Nebraska; Mrs. Ardyth Connolly of Clay Center and Margaret Beth, still at home. Blanche was a loving wife and mother and her life was always characterized by her may friends. She leaves to mourn her passing, besides her husband and three daughters and her parents, two brothers, Loren of Fairfield, Nebraska and Clare of Nebraska City, Nebraska, one sister, Mrs. Doris Hart of Burchard, Nebraska; also two grandsons, Harold Ray Connolly and Ronald Howard Peterson, besides other near relatives and a vast number of neighbors and friends. She passed away at the Mary Lanning Hospital in Hastings, Nebraska, March 8, 1945, at the age of 47 years, nine months and 17 days. Death came very unexpectedly as she was well on the road to recovery and had planned to return home within a few days. Blanche was converted and received into membership in the Methodist Church when a young woman and always maintained her faith in her God and membership in the church. She was a member of Fairfield Chapter No. 244 O. E. S. Members of her chapter attended in a body and conferred the last rites at the grave. The funeral services were in charge of Rev. W. W. Hull, assisted by Rev. S. W. Longacre. The songs, "Ivory Palaces," "No Disappointment in Heaven" and "Going Down the Valley" were sung by the quartette, Mrs. E. J. Mort, Mrs. L. B. Dalton, E. E. Hedgcock and Irvin Essinger with Mrs. Lydia Phelps at the piano. Pallbearers were: Clarence Fitzke, Bruce Thomas, Gary Goesch, E. V. Jay, Logan Lee and Ward Smith. Burial was in the Edgar Cemetery.
