Read More	Moravia Union, Feb.28, 1963, p.1 Mrs. Allie Boyer Services Sunday Allie Cross Boyer, daughter of Aaron T. and Elvira Talkington Cross, was born one of triplets on October 7, 1879 near North Bend, Iowa and passed away February 20, 1963 at 10:20 p.m. at St. Joseph hospital, Centerville, at the age of 83 years, 4 months, and 13 days. She had been seriously ill for the past three months with a heart condition. When she went to be with Jesus, all of her five daughters and their husbands were at her bedside. She was converted in her early life and united with the Fairview Methodist Church in 1909 where she kept her membership for 54 years "faithful unto death." She was united in marriage to Charley W. Boyer on February 23,1902. He preceded her in death on December 15, 1941. To this union five daughters were born: Mrs. Olin(Chloa) Foster, of Moravia; Mrs. David Goldie) Weston of Centerville, Mrs. Russell (Sylvia) Burns of Centerville; Mrs. Leon (Opal) Burns of Promise City; Mrs. Lester (Lola) Gorden of Centerville. She leaves to mourn her passing the five daughters and eight grandchildren: Betty Van Antwerp, Rex Foster, Larry Weston, Charlene Hawk, Paul Burns, Jim Burns, Karen Burns, Linda Burns. She leaves also ten great grandchildre and one sister, Mrs. Nora Pennington of Turlock, California, plus a host of nieces, nephews and friends who loved her dearly. She was a kind and loving mother. Her cheery smile and kindly spirit will be missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers, four sisters, and three grandchildren. The other two of the set of triplets, Ella Workman and Bert Cross lived to be 76 and 62 respectively. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Fairview Methodist church with Rev. Elton Coleman officiating. Burial was in Fairview cemetery with Miller Wehrle funeral home in charge. Pall bearers were Rex Foster, Larry Weston, Jim Burns, Paul Burns, Everett Hawk, and Gene Mattiey. Singers were Mary Fenton and Betty Fenton accompanied by Willis Gorden. The songs sung were Good Night and Good Morning and Precious Memories.
