Grim Reaper Claims Mrs. William Raemhild, 53, at Home of Daughter, Active in Community Affairs. Mrs. Alma Kolback Raemhild was born in Astoria, Oregon January *19th, 1884 and died in Portland at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Hugo Aho, April 3rd, 1937. At the age of two, the family moved to Knappton, where they lived until 1902. At that time, they purchased what is known as the Kolback farm in Naselle and Mrs. Raemhild has made Naselle her home ever since, with the exception of two years of her early married life, which was spent at Smith Creek. Her marriage to Wm. Raemhild, who survives her, took place in 1905. She was the mother of seven children, four daughters, Myrtle Kangas, Marguerite Raemhild, Grace Aho and Florence Holm of Portland, and two sons, Chester, of Raymond, and Wallace of Naselle. One son, Robert, died at the age of three. Four grandchildren also survive, and the following four sisters, Mrs. Olga Timonen, Mrs. Milga Wirkkala and Mrs. Saimi East, all of Naselle, and Mrs. Tekla Wirkkala of Ilwaco. Funeral services will be held Wednesday in Naselle in the Lutheran church, with E. E. Turkko officiating. The deceased was active in community affairs, being chairman of the home economics committee. She was a member of the Lutheran Women's Sewing club. Pallbearers are Chas. Wirkkala, T. W. Carlson, Chas. A. Niemi, Chas. Bighill, T. W. G. O'Connor and W. W. Moffitt. Gimi and Company of Astoria are in charge of arrangements and interment will be in the family plot in Peaceful Hill cemetery. ================ Children not yet linked below: 1. Charles Raemhild 2.
