She was born on May 24, 1922 to the union of Ephraim Sweat and Rosa Perkins Sweat in Oakdale. She was a member of Occupy #2 Baptist Church, a loving homemaker, mother, grandmother, great-grand mother, sister, aunt, friend. Her husband, Otis Perkins; parents, Ephraim and Rosa Sweat; two sons, Wilber Lee Perkins and Ronald Perkins; one daughter, Cala Hyatt; one sister, Ethel Smith and three brothers, Robert Sweat, Shelton Sweat and Clyde Sweat precede her in death. She leaves behind her loving family to cherish her memories, two sons, Michael Perkins and wife, Janis of Pitkin, W. C. Perkins of Pitkin; two daughters, Wilma Castellon and husband, Miguel of Greenville, South Carolina and Kay Hennesey and husband, Darryl of DeRidder; fourteen grandchildren, Connie Britt, Shane Perkins, Sherri Faul, Anthony Perkins, Amy Pollard, Jeff Hyatt, Aleisha Hyatt, James Paul McDonald, Jamie McDonald, Stacey Clark, Derrick Johnson, Amanda Doyle and Tina Perkins; thirteen great-grand children; and two sisters, Gilda Richmond of Pitkin and Mittie Cloud of Elizabeth. Pallbearers will be James Britt, Randy Pollard, Kevin Faul, Jon Doyle and Jason Clark. Honorary pallbearers will be Wayne Cloud, Noah Cloud and Robert Richmond. Friends may call today from 9 a.m. until time of service at 2 p.m.
