Description	:	MRS. ALTA M. TAYLOR Funeral services for Mrs. Alta Mae Taylor were held here Tuesday, July 3, at the Sutphen Funeral Home conducted by the Rev. Paul C. Ellis. She died Friday, July 1, at the Montgomery Manor Nursing Home. The singing was by Cecil Weaver accompanied by Mrs. Mabel Dunn and in charge of the flowers were Mrs. Leslie Cerven and mrs. Paul Taylor. Pall bearers were Paul Taylor, Neal Taylor, Leslie Cerven, Robert Cerven, John Copelin, and Joe Copelin, and interment was in the Villisca Cemetery. Alta Mae King, daughter of Columbus and Caroline Copelin King, was born near New London, Iowa, December 10, 1883. When she was a small child the family moved to the vicinity of Villisca where she grew to womanhood. On September 20, 1906, she was united in marriage to Raymond E. Taylor. They made their home in Havelock, Nebraska, where Mr. Taylor was employed by the Burlington Railroad. In 1928 Mr. Taylor transferred to Chicago where they lived until he retired and came to Villisca. He died in 1948. To them were born four children, Mrs. Charles McCandless, Long Beach, California; Mrs. Owen Anderson, Chicago, Illinois; Wendell, Villisca, and Robert, Cambridge, England. Mrs. Taylor was an active member and past worthy matron of the Havelock Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star.
