Description	:	Alton Charles Gottula was the oldest son of Zeno and Janet (Fritch) Gottula. He was born at the Pawnee City, NE hospital. He died in a construction accident on May 19, 1987. Alton was baptized April 29, 1956 and confirmed October 27, 1966 at the St. Anthony Catholic Church in Steinauer, NE. He graduated from Table Rock High School as Valedictorian in 1974. He was married Nov. 17, 1979 to Lynette Frank at St. James Lutheran Church, Humboldt, Nemaha Co., NE. They lived in Steinauer. Those left to mourn were his wife, children, parents, parents-in-law, Loraine & LeAnna Frank of Humboldt, and grandmothers, Florence Gottula of Steinauer, Laura Fritch of Table Rock, Alma Sodman of Humboldt and Mildred Frank of Pawnee City, and sisters and brothers. Services were held May 22, 1987 at St. Anthony Catholic Church with burial in the church cemetery. Alton also enjoyed a racing career at Beatrice Speedway, he was an inductee to the Beatrice Speedway Hall of Fame in 2015.
