WILLIAM SHRADER The passing of Mrs. Will Shrader, of Cache, Oklahoma, a former resident of Lucas county, has brought sorrow to many relatives and friends, who have long and favorably known this estimable lady. She had been in failing health the past three years. On the Sunday preceding her death a severe cold terminated in pneumonia and the weakened condition of her system made it impossible for her to resist its ravages, to which she succumbed the following Thursday at 9:30 a.m. Alvaretta Shore, daughter of Allen and Sarah Shore, was born in Carroll county, Illinois, Dec. 12, 1866, and departed this life Oct. 13, 1932, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Lewella Jackson in Cache, Okla., at the age of 65 years, 10 months and 1 day. When a young girl her parents moved to Lucas county, Iowa, where she grew to womanhood and in January, 1888, she was married to Daniel William Shrader, who preceded her in death about eleven years ago. They were the parents of nine children, two of whom, with the husband, were waiting to meet her on the other side, Florence Leona, aged six months and Mrs. Snow Moulden, who was killed in an automobile accident about three years ago. The children who survive are Joseph L. and Mrs. Lucy Dunn of Lawton, Okla.; Charles W. of Tyler, Texas; Harold N. of Houston, Texas; Clyde of Idaho Springs, Colo.; Claude and Mrs. Lewella Jackson of Cache, Okla., all of whom were able to reach her bedside before her spirit took its flight. She also leaves eighteen grandchildren and one sister and three brothers, Mrs. Florence Dachenbach of Williamson, Iowa; and Harve, Will and E. B. Shore, of near Chariton Iowa. In 1900 the family moved to Enid, Oklahoma. After a years residence there, they went to Commanche county and since that time they have been closely identified with the history of that locality. Mrs. Shrader united with the M. E. church at Zion, in Lucas county, Iowa, in 1883 and during her long life her faith in her heavenly Father never wavered. She was a devoted wife, a wonderful mother, a splendid neighbor and a kind friend. Largely attended funeral services were conducted in the M. E. church at Cache, Saturday morning at 10 o'clock by the Rev. Thelma Nottingham. The remains were then forwarded to the home of her sister, Mrs. L. G. Dachenbach at Williamson, Iowa, reaching that place Sunday afternoon. On Monday afternoon, Rev. Moore, of Columbia, Iowa, conducted services at the Zion M. E. church, after which burial took place in the Zion cemetery beside the husband and little daughter. The many and beautiful floral tributes were silent testimonials of esteem for her who had gone on and for those so sorely bereft. The remains were accompanied from Oklahoma by her daughter, Lucy, and her sons, Charles and wife, Lester and wife, Clyde and Claude, and by two granddaughters, Fern and Viona Moulden.
