Description	:	Alvina (Fangmeyer) Grummert, 102, of Beatrice, Nebraska, died on Wednesday, April 4th at the Beatrice Manor. She was born December 4, 1898, at Deshler, Nebraska. She was the oldest of 12 children. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Deshler, Nebraska. On September 6, 1918 she married Ernest G. Grummert at St. Paul's Evangelical Church at Deshler, Nebraska. They farmed near Jansen for years and later moved into the town of Jansen. She was also a member of the Gold Star Mother of Jansen Auxiliary. She is survived by daughters: Leona Schwisow, and husband, Donald, of Lincoln, and Darlene Harms of Crete; 9 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great- grandchildren; sisters: Irene Fangmeyer of Deshler, Nebraska and Louise Pequette of Rapid City, South Dakota; sisters in law: Martha and Lorna Fangmeyer and Emily and Lora Grummert; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, August and Anna (Vorderstrasse) Fangmeyer; her husband, Ernest G. Grummert (6/3/71); sons Elmer Grummert and Melvin Grummert; son-in-law Paul Harms; daughter-in-law Etta Grummert; brothers William, Henry, Walter, Martin and Fred Fangmeyer; sisters Ella Otling, Marie Harms, Henrietta Rossmiller and Amanda Rupprecht. Funeral: 2:00 P.M. Saturday, April 7th at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Beatrice. Pastor Douglas Irmer officiating. Burial: Evergreen Home Cemetery, Beatrice. Memorial established to the church. Visitation: Harman-Wright Mortuary, Beatrice 2:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. on Thursday, 8:00 A.M. - 9:00 P.M. on Friday, and at the church one hour prior to the service on Saturday. Harman-Wright Mortuary, Beatrice, in charge of arrangements.
