Amasa Jr. born Nov 11, 1827 Joel Whitney born June 23, 1830 James Ryley born July 19, 1832 John B born Dec 28, 1834 and perhaps others. In 1850 Amasa L. was in Edmunds, age 48, a farmer and owned his own farm. Wife Mary was 42 and they had with them children, son Joel W. age 20, a farmer, his wife Elizabeth C, age 21, son James R. L. 17, a farmer, and son John B. 15, also working on the farm. Elizabeth and Joel were both married within the year prior. Amasa and Mary had also had a son Amasa W. born in 1827 who had died prior to this census in 1847. In the 1860 census the family had moved to Dennysville. Amasa L. is 59, a farmer, and owns his farm. His wife Mary is 52 and son James R. L. resides with them, age 27, a lumberman. In this census Amasa was born in Lower Canada and Mary and James in Maine. By 1870 son James has married and started a family and lives next door to AL Cook age 69, a laborer, residing with wife Mary age 62. Amasa died at age 78.
