Description	:	Mrs. James Buxton passed away last Thursday evening, September 10, 1914 at the home of her son, Montrose Buxton, at Winnebago, Minnesota. Mrs. Buxton had made her home in Creston, Iowa for a number of years but had just broken up housekeeping and gone to her son's less than two weeks before to make her home there. Read More	Mrs. James Buxton passed away last Thursday evening, September 10, 1914 at the home of her son, Montrose Buxton, at Winnebago, Minnesota. Mrs. Buxton had made her home in Creston, Iowa for a number of years but had just broken up housekeeping and gone to her son's less than two weeks before to make her home there. She has been in poor health for the past few months, but passed away very suddenly with heart trouble. The funeral was held at the home of her son at Winnebago, and the remains were brought to Creston on Sunday, accompanied by her three sons: James of Yellow Grass, Canada; Charles of Creston, Iowa; and Montrose of Winnebago, Minn. Monday afternoon the remains were laid to rest in the Summit Cemetery in Union Township, Adams County, Iowa, beside her husband, who passed away February 2, 1909. Amelia L. Robinson was born in Pennsylvania (? Photo says Ballville, NY ? That is not found; however, Bayville, New York; Balmville, New York; and Belleville, New York are suggested possibilities) and later came with her parents to Adams County, Iowa. She was married to James Buxton on October 20, 1869, according to the date on her husband's photo. They settled on a farm near Stringtown Church about six miles southwest of Cromwell where they lived for a number of years. Later they lived in Cromwell, Corning, and Creston. The deceased was a member of the United Presbyterian or Stringtown Church for a number of years. While still living on the farm, she and her husband joined the Congregational Church in Cromwell, and on moving to Creston, joined the Congregational Church there. The deceased was the mother of five children, four of whom survive her, and are as follows: James, of Yellow Grass, Canada; Charlie, of Creston, Iowa; Montrose, of Winnebago, Minn., and one married daughter, Eunice, of South Pittsburg, Tenn. The daughter has been ill and was unable to come to her mother's funeral. The relatives have the sympathy of the community. Belleville, Jefferson County, New York She came with her parents to Iowa in 1856 and was a resident of Iowa most of her life. She married James Buxton in Adams County, Iowa on October 20, 1869. She was the mother of five children: 1. James F. 2. Charles 3. Montrose 4. Eunice 5. Mary A child named Wayne Buxton (1897-1897) is buried in the same plot as James and Amelia. There is no mention of him being their son, and Amelia would have been over age 50, so it is not likely she is the mother.
