The Rev. R.J. MacDanel will officiate. Pallbearers will he William Paulson, Donald O'Herron, James Vanderheiden, George Conley, Bill Poehling and Martin Schmeiser. Mr. Fischer was born in Carroll Jan. 9, 1887, and lived here all his life, most of it in the same block as his house on 202 North Court Street. He was the son of Henry and Augusta Fischer. March 5, 1914 he married Lillian Gates of Carroll, who survives him, together with one son, Robert Fischer of Carroll, and a step-daughter, Mrs. Blanche Cofer of Ann Arbor, Mich. Also surviving are seven brothers and sisters: Mrs. Minnie Yarges, Mason City; Margaret Fischer, Mason City; Mrs. Marie Hart, Sioux City; Augusta and Amelia Fischer of Carroll; Dick and Arnold Fischer of Carroll; and William Fischer of Wallingford. An aunt, Mrs. Amelia Boehme of Carroll, also survives. His parents, two brothers, Henry and August, and a sister, Teresa, and one son have preceded him in death. His son, who died in infancy, was buried on Mother's Day, just as Mr. Fischer will be. Mr. Fischer was a plumber before entering the county's employ.
