They were the parents of 12 children: August, Margaret, Amelia, Augusta, Marie, Will J., Heenry, Arnold, Richard, Minnie, and Amil. They were the parents of 12 children: August, Margaret, Amelia, Augusta, Marie, Will J., Heenry, Arnold, Richard, Minnie, and Amil. May 6, 1920 - Carroll Times - Miss Augusta Krueger was born in Newdorf, Poesen, Germany, April 28, 1854. She died at the age of 66 years and 4 days. She came to this country at the age of 18 and on July 13, 1873, she was united in marriage to Mr. Henry J. Fischer of Chicago where they resided two years. They then moved to Carroll where they have since resided. To this union twelve children were born, two sons and one daughter preceding her in death. The surviving children are Mrs. William Yarges of Mason City, Amil, Arnold, Richard, Augusta, Margaret and Marie, all of Carroll. Besides the husband and immediate family she leaves to mourn her loss, her mother, Mrs. Wilhelmina Krueger of Gibson, (Keokuk county) Iowa, and three sisters, Mrs. Herman Pokrantz, and Mrs. Gus Pokranty of Gilson, Mrs. Stimbert of Lincoln, Nebraska, Mrs. Boehme of Carroll, four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was a member of the Presbyterian church uniting with the church March 4, 1882.
