They had been having a little trouble with the machinery and Mr. Harmon over exerted himself. He died almost instantly. ~~~~~ Randolph Harmon was born in Mexico Indiana April 10th, 1851 and died suddenly at his place of business in the Fullerton Flouring Mills of heart failure on Wednesday July 24th 1907 aged 56 years, 3 months and 14 days. Mr. Harmon was joined in marriage to Miss Mary Parker in Indiana March 17th, 1874. To them were born ten children, five of whom died in infancy. He came with his family to Fullerton, Nebraska in 1885. He united with the Methodist Church of this city in June 1889 and remained a member until his death. For the past 18 years Mr. Harmon has been employed most of the time by the Fullerton Milling Company as assistant miller, and it was while at his post of duty that his summons came. His only son was with him and advised him to rest awhile but as some part of the machinery did not work to suit him and he replied that he would soon, and in a little while said to his son, "I feel so queer", and soon the son saw him stagger and stepped forward and caught him in his arms as he was about to fall. He threw his arms around his son's neck and drew him close to him and said, "Do not worry about me, I am dying, It is all right" and passed. The deceased was a member of the I.O.O.F. and the Rebecca Lodges, also of the W.O.W. He was a devoted husband, an affectionate father and an esteemed citizen. The funeral service were conducted at the Methodist Church by the Rev. J. B. Priest assisted by the Rev. W. H. Cooper of the Presbyterian Church on Friday, July 26th at 3 P.M. The lodges escorted the body to its last resting place in Riverside Cemetery, members of the I.O.O.F. and W.O.W. acting as pall bearers. The closing rites were by the I.O.O.F. according to their beautiful ritual. The entire community was stirred by the very sudden call of our brother, and all join in sympathy with the bereaved one.
