Alter ten and one-half years at that site, I moved my shop to the basement under the building at Fourth and Commercial where the west side Ford Hopkins store is now located I was there four years and then operated a shop at Fourth and Jefferson Streets for three or four years. Then I sold out and went on a farm near Shell Rock." "Later I started a shop in the. basement of Hotel Russell-Lamson and sold it in -1927, moving to the present location at 529 Jefferson Street." Mr. Vogt still owns the farm near Shell Rock. Some day he plans to retire to the farm. He has a wife and three children, Harry, Glendale, Cal.; Mrs. Chris Madsen, 414 Lana Street, and Mrs. Bert Mixdorf, living on the farm near Shell Rock. His first wife, the former Ella Kincaid, whom he married at Bristow, In., died in 1901. She was tho mother of Harry and of Mrs, Madsen. Thirty-nine years ago he married Pearl Mason at Shell Rock. She is the mother of Mrs. Mixdorf. They reside at 302 Vine Street. Mrs. Vogt's mother, 92 years old, resides with them. [Article condensed] Info provided by Sandy Bell
