Read More	wife of CR (Rufus) Scholfield Obituary in unidentified newspaper submitted by Ruth Myers: Amy Burlingham Schofield Amy Burlingham Schofield was born at Jordans Grove, Linn county, Iowa, May 24, 1888, and died at the McDonald Hospital in Monticello, Iowa, on February 18, 1919, at the age of 30 years, 8 months, and 25 days. On March 29, 1906, she was united in marriage to Chas. R. Schofield of Monticello, Iowa. To this union were born two children, Charles Lester, age 11, and Velma Maxine, age 3. In 1911 she joined the Baptist church at Alvin, Texas, where they made their home for two years, the rest of her life being spent in Anamosa, Iowa. She was a faithful believer in her Master and it was her heart's desire to teach her children to live a true life. On account of poor health it was decided that an operation was necessary. She was getting along nicely and was expecting to go home to her family in a short time, but death came very suddenly which was a shock to the home and community. She was a devoted wife and mother, and was a friend to everyone. She always wore a cheerful smile and was willing to lend a helping hand, to those in need. She leaves to mourn her death besides her husband and two children, her father and mother of near Anamosa, and one brother, Frank Burlingham of near Langworthy, and five sisters, Mrs. J. L. Phyfe and Mrs. Fern Moss of near Anamosa; Mrs. J. W. Craft and Mrs. T. J. Wilson of Central City, and Mrs. H. F. Mills of Rock River, Wyoming, besides other relatives and a host of friends. All of the near relatives were present at the funeral except one sister, Mrs. Mills, who could not come on account of sickness. The only relatives present from a distance was Mr. Schofield's mother and husband, Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Like of Webster City, Iowa.
