Description	:	Ancel James Stansbury, the son of Alice and Joseph Stansbury, was born July 1, 1885, in Nuckolls County, Nebraska, and departed this life March 11, 1948, from his home in Nelson, Nebraska, at the age of 62 years, 8 months and 10 days. He was united in marriage to Laura Bradley on May 27th, 1908. To this union five children were born. They are: Mrs. Fara Harms and Mrs. Fern Ellermeier of Glenvil, Nebr.; Mrs. Beulah Walthers of Cuba, Kansas, Ward Stansbury of Deweese, and Mrs. Reba Harrington of Nelson. He was united in marriage to Laura Bradley on May 27th, 1908. To this union five children were born. They are: Mrs. Fara Harms and Mrs. Fern Ellermeier of Glenvil, Nebr.; Mrs. Beulah Walthers of Cuba, Kansas, Ward Stansbury of Deweese, and Mrs. Reba Harrington of Nelson. The five children and his wife all survive him. He also leaves six grandchildren, and two sisters and two brothers. The sisters are Mrs. Edith Ronzo of Mullen, Nebr., and Mrs. Jennie McNickols of California. The brothers are Will of Roseland, Nebr., and Ralph of Pine River, Minnesota. Besides these he leaves a host of friends and other relatives. Mr. Stansbury spent his entire life in Nuckolls County, and lived on his farm near Deweese until two years ago when his failing health made it impossible for him to stay. He then moved to Nelson, where, with his good wife he has made his home. In early manhood he became a Christian and united with the Fairfield Methodist Church, and on October 6, 1946, transferred to the Nelson Methodist Church. Brother Stansbury has been in ill health for some time, but now death has released him and opened the door into that house not made with hands eternally in the heavens. His memory will linger for all time for those who knew him. He was a man who loved his home, indeed to him it was a paradise on earth. May the example of his life so influence our lives that we may live the many virtues manifested in his life and come to the end of earth's sojourn as calmly and bravely as did he. "Our husband and father has gone to his rest, To the home both eternal and fair, Where we, when the dear Lord decided it is best, Will join Him in happiness there." The funeral services were held in the Nelson Methodist Church Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock and were in charge of Rev. Clarence V. Powell. Music was furnished by a quartet: Mr. and Mrs. Jas. F. Murphy, Mrs. Bertha Portwood and Lowell Powell. They sang "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere" and "The Old Rugged Cross." Lowell sang as a solo, "I Won't Have To Cross Jordan Alone." Mrs. H.H. Hite presided at the piano. The pallbearers were Jack DeHart, Cecil Sheets, Pearl Vincent, Dewey Whartman, Nelson Lyon and M.D. Collins. Interment was in the Edgar Cemetery. Those attending the services from a distance were: Mr. and Mrs. Tom Bradley of Norton, Kansas; Mr. and Mrs. Lowell Nelson and Della Whithorn of Wichita, Kansas; Beverly Stansbury of Orleans, Nebr.; and Will Stansbury of Roseland, Nebr.
