Description	:	Andrew A. Jackson, son of Thomas and Anna Jackson was born in Boone county (sic), Indiana, May 14, 1850. He moved with his parents to Story county (sic), Iowa, in 1856, where he grew to manhood and lived for 25 years. He was married to Fannie I. Jackson, son of Thomas and Anna Jackson was born in Boone county (sic), Indiana, May 14, 1850. He moved with his parents to Story county (sic), Iowa, in 1856, where he grew to manhood and lived for 25 years. He was married to Fannie I. Williams December 31, 1868, and to this union eight children were born, seven of whom survive him, one dying in infancy. He moved from Story county (sic) to Guthrie county (sic) in 1881, where he lived for three years. He then moved from Iowa to Nelson, Nebraska, where his wife died February 1, 1903. November 29, 1906, he was united in marriage with Ellen Person of Nevada, Iowa, who survives him, and has lived there since until his death which occurred November 13, 1925, he being 75 years and 6 months of age. The surviving children are as follows: John L. of Mountain Grove, Mo.; Wm. E. of Pond Creek, Okla.; Mrs. Belle Sargent of Sanger, Cali.; Chas. O. of North Platte, Nebr.; Arthur of Angus, Nebr.; Mrs. Anna E. Moss of Wellfleet, Nebr.; and Mrs. Mildred Chamberlain of Nelson. Mr. Jackson was converted early in life and lived a consistent Christian life. He was a charter member of the Pleasant View United Brethren church north of Nelson, later becoming a member of the Methodist church. He always received great joy and many blessings by attending camp and revival meetings and when the end came expressed himself as being ready and willing to go. The funeral service was held in the Nelson Methodist church Tuesday November 17, 1925, at two o'clock, being conducted by the pastor, Rev. Vincent R. Beebe, who spoke from the text Phil. 3:10-11, "That I may know Him, and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings, being made comfortable unto His death; if by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead." There was a large attendance of many friends and neighbors. The singing was by a mixed quartet. There were beautiful floral tributes. The body was laid to rest in the Nelson cemetery.
