Description	:	Andrew Gunderson. 81, one of the early homesteaders in Lund Township and father of Mrs. Leonard Glein or Berthold, died Monday in a Minot nursing home where he had living for the past four years. Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock this afternoon at the Spring Valley Lutheran church, with Rev. T. P. Nordmark officiating, and burial will be made in the church cemetery by the side of his wife who passed away in 1952. Mr. Gunderson was born Sept, 22, 1874 in Vestigan Hadéland, Norway. Mr. Gunderson came to the United Slates at the age of 10 years with his parents and settled in the Northwood community. He married Dorothea Falkaas at Northwood Jan. 29, 1901. They homesteaded in Lund Township in 1905, where Mr. Gunderson was engaged farming until retiring in 1952. Mrs. Gunderson died April 12, 1952. Mr. Gunderson was a member of the Spring Valley Lutheran Church, and served in various church and township offices. He is survived by six children, Mrs. Leonard Glein (Alice) and Mrs. Delbert Dyke (Pearl), both of Berthold, and Philmor, Emons, Ingar and Arvid, all of Plaza; a sister, Mrs. Mina Brye of Swift Current, Sask.; 15 grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife two sets of twins and one sister. From The Minot Daily News.
