Description	:	Andrew's gravestone gives his birth date as January 25, 1875, however this conflicts with the birth years of his siblings. According to the 1891 census of Mono, Andrew was born c1880 between siblings Sarah & Henry. Henry's gravestone, death notice and the 1881 census put his birth May 1880. Sarah's gravestone gives her date of birth as May 1876. I therefore estimate that Andrew was born January 1878 instead of 1875. Andy, the name he was best known by, never married, was the last member of the family of the late Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Roney late of Mono Township. He was predeceased by five brothers and four sisters. He was born in East Garafraxa Township and at the age of two years, moved with the family, to a farm on the fifth line of Mono, near Hockley Valley, where he farmed till a few years ago when he retired to Orangeville. Andy was of a bright cheerful disposition and will be missed by his many friends and relatives. Father J. Rathbone of the Anglican Church conducted the services in the chapel and at the graveside. The funeral was held from the Turner Funeral Home Ltd., Broadway, Orangeville to the Forest Lawn Mortuary. His lasting resting place will be in St. John’s Cemetery, Seventh Line Mono. The pallbearers were Hubert Cockerill, George Scarlett, James Roney (nephews), Jim Cockerill, Wesley Gordon, John Gordon (great nephews). The flowers were lovely and were carried by Jim, Bob and Mary Lou Gordon and Debie Nixon, great great nephews and nieces.
