The services were largely attended. Burial in I.O.O.F. cemetery. In the death of Mr. Muldrow Shelby county has lost one of its best citizens. He was a good man from every standpoint, a man of noble impulses and sturdy, christian character. He was born in Ralls county, Mo., on Feb. 25, 1848, and moved to this county in 1866, his father George G. Muldrow being a prominent citizen. On Dec. 26, 1878, Mr. Muldrow was married to Miss Belle McMurry. Seven children were born to them—three sons and four daughters, all of whom are living, together with the wife and mother. Deceased united with the Presbyterian church in this city on Nov. 20, 1886, holding the office of deacon since June 30, 1895. The home of Mr. Muldrow was an ideal one, and he leaves behind him a family of children creditable alike to father and mother and esteemed by all. In his death the community has lost a man who always stood up for the right and against the wrong. The wife and children have the sympathy of all. Muldrow was born in Ralls County Missouri February 25th, 1848, and died at his home just west of Shelbyville Wednesday November 15th, 1906 aged 58 years 8 months and 20 days. He is survived by his wife, who was Miss Laura B. McMurry, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John F. McMurry of this city, and seven children; three boys and four girls, the youngest being 13 years of age. Mr. Muldrow's death was caused by gangreen [sic] of the foot which was started by a cow stepping on and mashing the big toe on his left foot. About two weeks ago his leg was amputated but it was impossible to check the progress of the malady. Mr. Muldrow was all through life a consistent, noble, christian gentleman. He loved wife, children, home and friends and nothing ever pleased him so much as to make the heart of some loved one glad. Every impulse of his heart was a noble one, every act pure and uplifting. . He was a member of the Presbyterian church at Shelbyville and the funeral will be held there this morning at ten o'clock, conducted by his pastor, Rev. C. P. Blayney, assisted by Rev. J. J. Last week we told of his limb being amputated at Levering hospital in Hannibal and that he was taken home on Sunday. The operation disclosed a worse state of disease than had been expected and it was seen that his case was hopeless. The deceased was born in Ralls county, Mo., February 26th, 1848. He married Miss Laura B. McMurry, a daughter of John F. McMurry of this city, and three sons and four daughters were born to the union. The wife and seven children survive. Mr. Muldrow was an honorable, up right man, highly respected by all. Funeral services were held Friday morning by Rev. C. P. Blayney, pastor of the Presbyterian church of which Mr. Muldrow was a member. Burial followed at the I. O. O. F. cemetery in Shelbyville.
