Born October 24, 1937, in Sang Run, MD, he was the son of the late Alvie Harold and Stella Marie (Rodeheaver) DeWitt. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Betty Lorraine (Savage) DeWitt and one daughter, Darla DeWitt. Born October 24, 1937, in Sang Run, MD, he was the son of the late Alvie Harold and Stella Marie (Rodeheaver) DeWitt. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Betty Lorraine (Savage) DeWitt and one daughter, Darla DeWitt. Mr. DeWitt enjoyed his career as a grocery manager, retiring in 2006 after 29 years of service. Andrew was a member of Bunker Hill Brethren in Christ Church, Bunker Hill, WV, former member of Oak Grove Church of the Brethren and charter member of the Deep Creek Vol. Fire Department. He is survived by one son, Danny DeWitt, Bowden; two daughters, Debi Ayers and husband, Jerry, Bowden; Dana DeWitt, Oveido, FL; five grandchildren, Dave Hertig, Lynchburg, VA; Jeremy Ayers and wife, Christina, Bowden; Garrett Graham, Centerville, VA; Amanda Ogden and husband, Johnny, Bowden; Sheena Graham, Oveido and one great-granddaughter, Madison Grace Ogden. Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 26722 Garrett Highway, McHenry (Accident), on Monday from 5-9 p.m. Services will be conducted in the funeral home on Tuesday, February 14, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Raymond Martin officiating.
