Description	:	The funeral services for Andrew William Hengstler, 79, were held Monday, June 4 at 11 a.m. at Sunland Mausoleum Chapel in Sun City, Ariz. Officiates were Dr. Russell E. Swanson and Rev. H. Maxwell Walton of Shepherd of the Desert Lutheran Church. Interment was in Sunland Memorial Park in Sun City, Ariz. Pallbearers were Richard Urwiller Jr., William S. Hengstler, Jeffrey Urwiller, George Wiegandt, Eldon O. Owens, Harry McCrory, Charles Argersinger and Wendell Hammerley. Andrew William Hengstler, the son of W.C. and Bertha Hengstler, was born in Meadow Grove on June 23, 1905. His parents moved back to Creighton where he graduated from high school in 1924. He attended the University of Iowa, later going to Worshams College of Mortuary Science in Chicago. He graduated in 1929 and he and his father purchased the Metteer Furniture Store and Mortuary in Creighton. On October 13, 1929 he was united in marriage to Dollie M. Page. He was active in community affairs and along with his wife established a scholarship fund in Creighton, donated the building for the library. He served as councilman and later as mayor. He was past president of the Nebraska Funeral Directors Association and honored as a 50 year member. He and his family were members of the Zion Lutheran Church. In January of 1965 they moved to Sun City, Ariz., where he later joined the Sun City Posse, a member of the Elks Club and was active in the Shepherd of the Desert Lutheran Church. Survivors include his wife, Dollie, son, William R. Hengstler, daughter, Roberta Urwiller of Denver, Colo. and four grandsons.
