Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 25, at St. John's Lutheran Church, McClusky. Burial will be in the McClusky City Cemetery. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 25, at St. John's Lutheran Church, McClusky. Burial will be in the McClusky City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2 to 7 p.m. today, no visitation on Thursday and will continue from 9 a.m.. to noon Friday, at the Hertz Funeral Home, McClusky. Anetta was born Feb. 21, 1923, near McClusky. She was the daughter of Fred and Margaret (Pleines) Helm. Anetta grew up and attended a one room country school in Whittaker Township southeast of McClusky through the eighth grade. She had 16 brothers and sisters. Anetta married Harry Murray June 11, 1941, in McClusky. They moved to farm southwest of McClusky from 1941 to 1943. They then moved to farm north of McClusky. In 1946, they moved to her parents' farm until 1947, when they bought a service station in McClusky. In 1950, the station was sold and they moved to a farm two and ½ miles south of McClusky, where they lived. Anetta helped Harry farm. She was Harry's right hand man at all times, doing all the things a good farm wife does, such as hauling bales, milking cows, raising a garden, hauling grain, and still finding time for her children and house work. Anetta enjoyed going to threshing shows. Anetta kept her crocheting packed for she liked to keep her fingers busy. She also enjoyed quilting. They enjoyed attending the Civilian Conservation Corps reunions, which were held in different parts of the state. Anetta was a member of the St. John's Lutheran Church of McClusky and a long time member of the Lutherans Women's Missionary league at St. John's, serving as an officer and on many committees. Anetta was a member of the Central Dakota Squares, a local square dance club since its beginning, and also a club in Wilton. She sang with the Sheridan County German Singers. Anetta is survived by her husband, Harry, Garrison; daughter and son-in-law, June and Gary Marchus, Bismarck; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jim and Mozel Murray, Mercer, and Raymond and Willa, Mercer; 11 grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sisters, Lydia Schaeffer, Underwood, Emma Lauer, McClusky, Pauline Broeckel, Bismarck, and Edna Brackett, McClusky; brother, Albert Helm, McClusky; and son-in-law, Harold Alexander, Esmond. Anetta was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Mary Lou Alexander; sister, Martha Roth; seven brothers, Christ Helm, Julius Helm, Walter Helm, Arnold Helm, Fred Helm, Adolph Helm and Edwin Helm; and two infant siblings.
